Gay Shepard, 59, teacher, Mesa View Middle School, Huntington Beach CA

Gay Shepard was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual intercourse, sodomy with a person younger than 18, oral copulation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Allegedly, she and her husband Daniel invited a 17 year old student over to their house, and then decided to get in their hottub, naked. They invited the boy to join them. Over the next few months, both adults had sex with the boy. Eventually the kid told his mother, and that's when the trouble started for the Shepards. After these allegations were made public, other people came forward with their stories about the Shepards.

Destini Michelle Munoz, 25, teacher, Jefferson High School, San Antonio TX

Destini Michelle Munoz was charged with one count of being involved in an improper relationship between an educator and a 18-year-old female student. A student told her mother about her relationship, and the parent called district police. Allegedly an affidavit states three witnesses told police the teacher admitted to them that she was involved sexually with the student.

Lindsey Seymour, 27, teacher, Alvin C York Institute, Jamestown TN

Lindsey Seymour was allegedly carrying on a relationship with a 16 year old student. As a consequence, she faces statutory rape charges.

Gina Sabin, 39, 5th grade teacher, Cloverleaf Elementary School, Cartersville GA

Gina Leigh Sabin, a mother of two who is married to a school principal at Woodland High where she coached cheerleading at the time of the crimes, was charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation. Sheriff's Office investigators had alleged Sabin at least twice performed oral sex on the minor in June 2009. The child does not attend the school where Sabin teaches.

Update June 2011: Gina Leigh Sabin has pleaded guilty to two counts of felony sexual battery. She was sentenced to 5 years probation, $1000 fine, and must give up her teaching certificate.

Ashley Burkett, 31, teacher, Jay High School, Santa Rosa FL

Two Santa Rosa County teachers, April Burford Watson and Ashley Elenea Burkett, were arrested stemming from an investigation into unlawful sexual activity with minors. The investigation was initiated on July 28, 2009 after an anonymous letter was sent to the Santa Rosa County School District alleging sexual relationships between two Jay High School teachers and male juveniles. The letter was given to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office for investigation. Interviews were conducted with the alleged victims in the case. Two victims alleged that they were involved in sexual activity with Watson at her residence and the residence of Burkett between the months of July and October 2007. One other victim alleged that he was involved in sexual activity with Burkett at her residence and the residence of Watson between the months of July and October 2007. Both of the suspects were questioned by investigators and they both admitted to the unlawful sexual activity.

Wow!  These teachers shared the students.  Really makes me wonder if they had orgies together, or if these two got together for some carpet munching.

Update Jan 27 2010: Both April Burford Watson and Ashley Elenea Burkett have entered pleas of no contest to three counts of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.

Update Apr 16 2010: April Watson and Ashley Burkett received identical sentences of 15 months in prison, followed by 5 years of probation.

Update May 9 2011: April Watson and Ashley Burkett were released from prison.

Ashley Renee Flores was arrested on accusations of repeatedly raping a student. She allegedly had sex with teen while her own children were in the house.
