Jennifer Rotella, 35, teacher, Stevenson Elementary School, Ransomville NY

Jennifer Rotella was arrested at the Buffalo Bills football game on Sunday. She was allegedly stopped by police coming out of the men's bathroom, after having sex with in a bathroom stall with another teacher, Michael France. France's wife verified that he too was stopped by police.
Rotella was charged with public lewdness.

No word on whether or not Jennifer took advantage of the $9 million in free cosmetic surgery available to members of the Buffalo teachers union.

These people are teaching our children.

Funny how this type of thing keeps happening in Buffalo.

Tara Driscoll, 33, English teacher, Campus Magnet high school, Cambria Heights, Queens NY

Tara Driscoll was arrested today, accused of having a sex tryst with an unidentified student on March 19 at the Capri Motel in Lynbrook, Long Island. The prosecutor indicated they have photo and video evidence, suggesting a pornographic video was being shot.

One website identified Driscoll as an English teacher, while another stated that she taught law and government.  She has been teaching for 5 years and reportedly earns $57,000 per year.  Prosecutors allege Driscoll has a history of alcohol abuse and was recently in rehab.

The student's mother alerted police.

Danielle Johnsen, 29, science teacher, Notre Dame Academy, Staten Island NY

Danielle Johnsen, a Staten Island Catholic school teacher, is accused of having sexual contact with a student. She was released without bail, and her lawyer say the entire story was made up by the student. Allegedy the female student and teacher engaged in makeout sessions, and the teacher used her hand to perform something on the student.

Ok, where is the evidence. Is this just a "she said, she said" case?

Teri Decker, 40, Health teacher, Corning High School, Corning NY

Teri K. Decker has been charged after an investigation into inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old male student.

Allegedly the teacher and student were sexting constantly. They communicated by cell phone text messages at all hours of the day and night and engaged in sexual conversation by text. Teri encouraged the victim to hide the relationship from his mother. Police said that during this time period thousands of text messages, many of them sexual in nature, were exchanged.

Allegedly on Feb. 14 the teacher grabbed the boy by the hand, pushed him against a desk, and kissed him on the lips continuously for 10 minutes while in Room 800 of Corning East. Later that day, police said, Decker continually kissed, held and allowed the same boy to touch her buttocks for nearly 30 minutes in the same school room.

In 2006, Teri Decker was certified as a Rape Crisis Counselor/Advocate for
the Rape Crisis of the Southern Tier. Wow.

Update: Teri Decker will be sentenced July 26.

Update Sept 20 2011: Teri Decker was sentenced to 15 days in jail, with three years probation.

Christen Hayes, 30, Teacher's Assistant, Onondaga Road Elementary School, Syracuse NY

Christen Hayes is charged with three counts of rape involving a student. The Sheriff’s Office says Hayes engaged in sexual activity with the student on several occasions from June 2009 to February 2010. The relationship between Hayes and the boy came to light after the teenager was arrested in Broome County following an incident at Hayes' home. Hayes was employes by Onondaga-Cortland-Madison county BOCES.

Update Mar 2 2012: Hayes was sentenced to 10 years probation with six months in jail for a sexual relationship with an underage student.

Marla Gurecki-Haskins, 37, special education teacher, Canandaigua Academy, Canandaigua NY

Marla Gurecki-Haskins has been arrested for allegedly performing oral sex on a 17-year-old student on school property, and for allegedly using her cell phone and e-mail to try to encourage two 16-year-old male students to engage in sexual conduct with her.  She denies any physical contact took place.  Certain interwebs have dubbed her, the "Special Head-ucation" teacher.

Update Sept 2010: Gurecki-Haskins agreed to a plea bargain, for 45 days in jail plus three years probation in regards to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one charge of official misconduct.

Update Jan 6 2012: Gurecki-Haskins was sentenced today, to 45 days prison and 3 years probation.

Christine Williams, 41, fifth grade teacher, Public School 80 Thurgood Marshall Magnet School, Queens NY

Christine Williams has reportedly been arrested on allegations she had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old male student, at her residence on at least two separate nights between January 29, 2010, and February 5, 2010.  The encounters were videotaped, and the boy turned the tapes over to the police.

Update May 24 2011: Christine Williams admitted to Queens Supreme Court Justice Richard Buchter that she had sex with the student, who prosecutors described as a pal of her stepson, at her home on two separate nights in January and February 2010.

Update July 12 2011: Christine Williams was sentenced to 90 days in jail on a statutory rape charge. She will also have to pay a $1,000 fine, surrender her teaching license, and serve 10 years probation upon completion of her sentence. The judge called the special-ed teacher "a disgrace" for her sex encounters with a 15-year-old boy - which were captured on tape. Her lawyer cited alcohol addiction and a psychiatric disorder as the root of her troubles, but the Asst District Attorney said that the mental health issues had nothing to do with her decision to have sex with an underage boy.

My two cents: I can't put my finger on just why I think this, but I have a feeling this woman would be an absolute animal in bed...
