Cristina Preston, 44, Special Education teacher, Veterans Memorial Middle School, Columbus GA

Cristina Preston was arrested for sexual assault on a 14 year old student. She is charged with two counts of child molestation, one count of enticing a child, and one count of sexual assault against a person in custody. A police report alleges that an incident took place at Cooper Creek Park off Milgen Road just after midnight on Monday. She has been teaching in the school district for 19 years.

Amy Bass Jackson, 35, eighth grade language arts teacher, William James Middle School, Statesboro GA

Amy Bass Jackson was arrested when the parents of one of her 14-year-old students told police she had sex with the boy.

She is charged with the following: aggravated child molestation, three counts of child molestation, statutory rape, enticing a child for indecent purposes, sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority, two counts computer or electronic child exploitation, sexual exploitation of children and six counts of furnishing harmful material to minors.

She worked for the Bulloch County school system for three years. She "came highly recommended" from the Candler County school system and has been teaching for 13 years.

Rene Chantel Frank, 27, Math teacher, Charles Drew High School, Riverdale GA

Rene Chantel Frank was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a person in custody/school. She reportedly admitted to police that she engaged in sexual acts with a 17 year-old male.

It all started when the student's father asked her to transport the boy to Charles Drew High School. Which of course led to backseat sex. To complicate things slightly, the teacher claims she is pregnant with twins and that the 17-year-old boy is the father. Another student claims to have slept with her too, an accusation Frank denies.

Dorothy Dixon, 29, special education teacher, Northgate High School, Newnan GA

Dorothy Dixon was charged with one count of child molestation. Her husband discovered sexting messages on her cell phone, and figured she was having an affair. Eventually he found out her relationship was with a 15 year old special needs student. The husband turned her in to police.

I guess he was kind of PO'ed.  Way to get revenge!

Keenon Aampay Hall, 29, English teacher, Shiloh High School, Snellville GA

Keenon Aampay Hall was voted Teacher of the Year at Shiloh High School. But now she has resigned, after being accused of seducing a student who came to her for help with homework. Allegedly Hall gave the student gifts, and tried to get him to impregnate her. The student refused, she failed him, he (predictably) went to the authorities.

Shannon Alicia Schmieder, 38, Teaching assistant, Jefferson Parkway Elementary School, Newnan Georgia

Shannon Alicia Schmieder is charged by Coweta County authorities with having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male child, who was not a student.

Update Feb 17 2012: Shannon Schmieder was sentenced to 40 years in prison, and will have to serve at least 20. The sentence is believed to be the longest ever in U.S. history for this type of crime. She plead guilty to two counts of child molestation.
