Shannon Alicia Schmieder, 38, Teaching assistant, Jefferson Parkway Elementary School, Newnan Georgia

Shannon Alicia Schmieder is charged by Coweta County authorities with having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male child, who was not a student.

Update Feb 17 2012: Shannon Schmieder was sentenced to 40 years in prison, and will have to serve at least 20. The sentence is believed to be the longest ever in U.S. history for this type of crime. She plead guilty to two counts of child molestation.

JoAnn Stephens, 43, Substitute teacher, Mineola High School, Mineola TX

JoAnn Stephens was your average everyday substitute teacher. Except for the fact that she was having sex with a 15 year old student, at the school where here husband was the principal. Allegedy the affair was going for 3 years. And allegedy the couple were seen kissing in a black truck at an RV Park. Police later obtained some bodily fluids from the floorboards of alleged truck. Stephens also gave the teen a prepaid cell phone, and witnesses said she allegedly gave him candy, gifts, clothes and money.

Update Mar 2 2011: JoAnn Stephens has been indicted.

Update Mar 4 2011: JoAnn Stephens was released on bond.

Update Mar 11 2011: A motion was filed to remove JoAnn Stephens attorney from the case. He has been fined.

Update Mar 14 2011: JoAnn Stephens pleaded guilty to having an improper relationship with a student. 4 other charges were dropped in exchange for the plea agreement.

Update April 2011: JoAnn Stephens was sentenced to 180 days in jail, plus 10 years probation. She was ordered to report to the Wood County Jail no later than 5 p.m. on May 4.

Kristen Ross, 40, teacher, Riverside Elementary School, Cleveland Ohio

Kristen Ross was arrested and charged with sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The student claims he had sex with Ross in her classroom on a desk after school on Jan. 15 and Jan. 31. Ross said the allegations were false, it was rumor started by the student, and someone tried to blackmail her about it, and it was all an April Fools prank.

Update Feb 4 2011: Kristen Ross pleaded guilty to felonious assault for having an "improper relationship" with a 14-year-old student. But in court, she told the students parents that even though she texted or phoned the boy nearly 4,000 times at all hours of the day and night, she never had sex with the boy. The police say she did, and that she also sent the boy a photo of her breasts. The judge sentenced her to two years in prison.

Update Feb 23 2012: Kristin Ross is getting an early release from prison.
