Natalie Gentry, 33, English teacher, LaRue County High School, Hodgenville KY

Natalie Gentry is being investigated by police say an investigation regarding a sexual relationship with a male student. Parents told WAVE 3 that Gentry has been off the job for a few weeks. The investigation is on going, and no arrest has been made.

In a somewhat related story, in the beginning of the 2010 school year, LaRue County High instituted a school-wide laptop program. And get this: "English teacher Natalie Gentry said one of her favorite features is an instant-messaging feature where students can ask her questions privately." Oh my gosh, I don't even know what to say to that...

Update Nov 17 2011: Police have turned over the results of their investigation to the prosecutor.  No decision has been made, whether or not charges will be filed.  Police believe that Natalie had sex with more than 1 male student.  The school district has fired her, and she has not appealed.

Update Jan 16 2012: Natalie Gentry has been arrested. The victim's mother has spoken to a newspaper. Allegedly the victim was one person who helped Natalie while her husband was overseas in the military, and she was taking care of an infant. He went to school where she taught, and he mowed her lawn and plowed her fields. Kentucky state police allege that she was involved with 2 students, age 17 and 18.

Update Feb 3 2012: Natalie Gentry has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. She will be back in court Mar 12.

Laura Michelle Gallegos, 38, teacher's aide, Shasta High School, Redding, CA

Laura Michelle Gallegos has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with with a member of the Orland High School wrestling team, including in the stands during a state wrestling meet in Bakersfield. She is also accused of having exchanges of sexually explicit text messages with another juvenile male on the wrestling team.

Evidently one of the students mothers was checking his cell phone, and he admitted he was sexting the teacher's aide. A police investigation ensued. Gallegos was the mother of a wrestler at an unidentified school.

Update June 14 2011:  Her trial is set to begin Nov 14.

Update Feb 18 2012: Laura Michelle Gallegos changed her plea to guilty, to one felony count of arranging a meeting with a minor with the purpose of committing lewd acts. She was facing a trial beginning Feb 21. As part of the deal, 9 felony charges were dismissed. She faces up to 4 years in prison.

Meagan Gordon, 22, substitute teacher, Sussex Technical High School, Georgetown DE

Meagan Gordon was charged for allegedly showing nude photos of herself to a 15-year-old student. The student's mother had filed a complaint with school officials because she suspected that her son was text messaging with a teacher at the school. Allegedly the student swiped the teacher's cell phone, and went to the restroom to view the photos on her phone. The teacher of course had nude photos of herself on the phone (who doesn't?). No word on what the student did to himself while in the restroom. After finishing up in the lavatory (I really hope he washed his hands), the student returned the phone. Later on in class, the teacher again allowed the student to check out the pictures of her goodies, and they exchanged cell phone numbers, etc.
