Valynne Bowers has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy. Bowers came to police attention after another teacher, Linda Nef, confessed that she had engaged in sexual activity with the same boy when he was 13. Bowers had an affair with the boy from Jan 2 2009 until Feb 27 2009.

Update Feb 14 2011: Valynne Bowers pleaded guilty to two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony. She was originally charged with eight first-degree felonies including five counts of rape and three counts of forcible sodomy. She could serve 30 years.

Update Apr 4 2011: Valynne Bowers was sentenced to the maximum. One to 15 years for each count, served consecutively.

Christine A. McCallum, 29, 5th grade teacher, Abington MA

Christine McCallum is accused of statutory rape. She allegedly had sex with a minor 300 times over an 18 month period, police said. She spread for the student on the boy's kitchen floor, and his bedroom. They also has sex in the shower, living room and bedroom of her home. Allegedly the victim and Christine McCallum first had sex on February 7, 2006 on a couch in her Rockland home, while her husband and his younger brother slept upstairs. This started when the lucky bastard victim was 13-years old (he is now 16). He said he and the teacher had unprotected sex "possibly every other day," a police report said.

McCallum pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.

Lisa Glide, 35, drama teacher, Old Bridge High School, Old Bridge NJ

Soap opera actress turned high school drama teacher, Lisa Glide, has been arrested on charges that she had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. Investigators say the sexual activity began in February while the boy was still a student at the school. He graduated from the high school in June.

Update Aug 10 2009: Lisa Glide was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to having sex with a high school student twice off campus. The supposed 17-year-old victim says he pursued her, and at Glide's sentencing, the victim - now a college sophomore - sent a letter on her behalf claiming "Lisa Glide was not a sexual predator." Reportedly Glide was suffering from cancer and major depression when the illicit sexual relationship occurred. The judge cited her mental and physical state while the student was "very aggressively pursuing her."
